NCAA, OHL, QMJHL - WHICH PATH SHOULD THE PLAYER FOLLOW?
The truth is, we hope all options are available and the player is in an enviable position to choose his course. Pinnacle Hockey Management educates the player and family on each and every option.
The ever-evolving NCAA eligibility regulations and academic requirements, Major Junior Scholastic Agreements and NCAA Scholarships. We have had many players in the QMJHL, OHL, and NCAA and use the invaluable experience we have gained over the years to help our players and families make the decision that they are most comfortable with.
Our goal is to provide the best opportunity for long-term success, not only in hockey but also after the player’s career ends. We work to keep all possible options open until the right one comes along. This can happen at 16 or at 21. Regardless of which direction our players take and when it happens, you can be sure we have worked as hard as possible to find the right opportunity.

finding your plan b
In a perfect world, the player finishes their U16 year, is drafted and makes major junior at 16, or is recruited and gets an NCAA commitment. This can happen, but it is rare for a player to get these opportunities so quickly and at such a young age. Some agencies begin limiting contact with the player if it looks like the path to the NHL isn’t in the near future.
Phone calls, texts and emails to Advisors and Agents go unanswered and the player and family are left to contact teams on their own or forced to start over and seek new representation.

Our staff’s many years of experience in negotiating contracts and school packages means the player will receive the right compensation for his commitment to the team or school.
Players pursuing the CHL, U-Sports or NCAA route will benefit from the dozens of Scholarship Packages our staff has negotiated and over a decade of building relationships and partnerships with Teams and Schools.
